Everything Is Awesome!!!

When we arrived at Westwood Retreat Center my first thought was, “this place looks too country for me.” But after a day of riding my bike, making breakfast/lunch/dinner with Dad, petting horses, and so many other exiting and new things, I saw that this was just another part of God’s amazing creation. I haven’t felt this safe in so long; it feels like I have my own personal bodyguard walking around beside me everywhere I go. Then I realize that I do have my own personal bodyguard, and it just happens to be that his name is Jesus: the best bodyguard, well… EVER!!! And the coolest thing about that is that He’s also your bodyguard. He protects you, He leads you, and He even gave His own life for you! That’s how awesome your bodyguard is.

This might sound weird, but I’ve been looking for something that isn’t good about our stay at the Westwood Retreat Center, but I can’t seem to find anything. The place is nice, (even though it’s only one room, I still love it!) the food is good, I feel safe, (I am safe for that matter!) I’m not freezing to death in the 40-45 degree weather (although I might when I’m wearing shorts in 34 degree weather!), I get to ride my bike around all over the place, and I even get to feed and pet horses!!! There’s nothing that isn’t awesome; everything is awesome!

P.S. About an hour or so after I wrote this blog, I balled my eyes out. So if you were thinking, “man, she has a perfect life, I wish I had her life” you don’t have to anymore. I just have an awesome Protector!

Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens! Praise Him for His mighty deeds; praise Him for His excellent greatness! Praise Him with trumpet sounds; praise Him with lute and harp! Praise Him with tambourine and dance; praise Him with strings and pipe! Praise Him with sounding cymbals; praise Him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! ~ Psalm 150

Dear Father, sometimes it’s easy to know that You are there, but other times, I don’t even realize that You exist. Help me to know You more, and to be able to hear You when you speak to me. Help me to know that You love me even when I feel like no one loves me. In Your name I pray, Amen.
