“Home is where the heart is.”
But what if you don’t know where your heart is? Does that mean you have no home? Or does it mean that your home can be anywhere?
Over the past month or two, we’ve been “living” (as my Mom says: for the foreseeable future – today and tomorrow) in Tomball, Texas. I’ve met some nice girls my age. I’m part of a book club. I’m also starting a bible study. I call our 1-bedroom house “home.” It feels like home here.
But sometimes I wonder if anywhere will ever be home…like for a long time.
I wonder if I’ll ever be able to make plans for next year, for my birthday even. But in Jeremiah 29:11 God says: “I know the plans I have for you.” And believe it or not, He has GOOD plans for me, better than my own. For some of us, giving up our plans for God’s is really hard. But if we make the trade, it will be SO much better for us.
Where is your heart?
“My Father (God) will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” ~ John 14:23b
Wonderful comments! I’ve always felt that God placed me where He needed me to be. Our “home” will always be where we feel love, peace and comfort from whoever is there with us! This is what God wants for us.

Beryl, we have discovered over the past several months that God has given us “homes” all over the place! Thanks for sharing. ~ Steve
